Crew Profile
CAPTAIN: GILES TROULAN - British
Joined Spring 2019
Giles joins MOSAIQUE with over 19 years' Captain experience on both private and charter yachts ranging in size from 30m up to 67m.
Giles is a natural on charter, an excellent motivator, putting all guests at ease in a warm welcoming environment.
Giles grew up around the water and sailed extensively from an early age. After leaving school he worked for 5 years on board fast multi hulls and sailing yachts followed by two years diving on the Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea. In 1992 he took his first job on board the yacht M/Y Deneb Star and has worked in the super yacht industry ever since.
During his career he has cruised extensively throughout Asia, Australia, Indian Ocean, East & West Med, Caribbean and the Red Sea.
Giles is an avid scuba diver with a dive master license and keen kite surfer with a love of deep-sea fishing.

CHEF: Scott Stafford Jamison - Australian

Scott’s objective is to serve guests to the highest standard possible and he strives to create fresh and original food from the best and freshest produce whilst catering for all dietary and special requirements such as vegan, macrobiotic, blood group, organic, gluten free etc., his food style evolves from all the different locations and countries that he has visited.
For the past two seasons Scott has been wowing guests and owners with his creations on the very busy 43m charter yacht Diane, prior to this he has been on both private and charter yachts.Scott also has experience of being a chef in high-end restaurants, ski chalets and private homes.Scott was Head Chef/television presenter for a TV show aired in the Netherlands.

Alyona has over 9 years’ experience as a Chief Stewardess on both private and charter yachts and has travelled all over the world doing so! Not only this, but she is also a qualified pharmacist. With exceptional knowledge in wine, cocktails and cigars – all attributes that have helped her move up the ranks in the career that has given her endless satisfaction so far.
Over the years, Alyona has accrued a wealth of hospitality knowledge and being a vital team player has been her motto from the start. Her confidence and skill-sets are things she likes to share, and she has ease in teaching and guiding her fellow team members.
In her spare time Alyona, loves sports, reading, travel and yoga.

A qualified physiotherapist with diplomas in massage, reflexology, and special occasion make up, we could say that Milica joined the yachting industry with a few extra strings to her bow!
She describes herself as energetic and positive and always ready to share that vibe with her team. Since her first position on board the very busy MY Zulu (36m) in 2015 Milica has gained skill and confidence in all areas of interior work and has spent time in housekeeping, laundry as all types of service. These years of experience have taught Milica to assume each assignment gladly while fulfilling each detail to completion with a smile.
In her spare time, Milica enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities, loves to cook and learn new skills and if time permits, she loves a good book.

3RD STEWARDESS: Kasey McDonald – Australian

Kasey started her career in hospitality in 2010 in her native Australia working in cafes and bars and later moving onto work in Greece and Canada. In 2017 she started her yachting story when she joined the 40m M/Y Ava for the Mediterranean season. Last season saw her back in Australia when she joined M/Y Silverfast (77m) which was in the shipyard in Perth then headed to Singapore, Maldives and the Red Sea where they chartered heavily for 5 months. With her outgoing personality and sunny nature Kasey is looking forward to the season on M/Y Mosaique.

4TH STEWARDESS: Abbie Merrit – British

Abbie is a highly motivated enthusiastic person who enjoys delivering high-class service and thrives on overcoming a challenge. Prior to joining the yachting industry Abbie worked in the Care and Finance sector as a financial administrator in a Bupa care home, this gave her a wealth of customer service experience. This year Abbie went to UKSA where she did the Superyacht Interior Foundation Course learning practical skills to fulfil her role as stewardess. Abbie is very happy to have joined M/Y Mosaique and strives to become a valuable crew member.
Learning to horse ride at a young age has made Abbie a life-long fan of horses, she also enjoys walking and exploring going off the “beaten track” she has climbed Mount Snowdon three times.

CHIEF OFFICER: Elliot Pilkington – British
Joined Summer 2018
Elliot started his sailing life on the Solent around Cowes through the Island Youth Water Activity Centre and learnt a variety of water sports and dinghy sailing which progressed into racing and later led to teaching at the United Kingdom Sailing Academy.
Elliot is an enthusiastic driven professional with a real interest and unbounded passion for sailing and the maritime environment. Having a keen mind Elliot is always looking to be challenged and improve on existing skills and develop new ones within the industry whilst working towards a long-term professional career. Prior to joining M/Y Mosaique in the Summer of 2018 Elliot had been Chief Officer and 2nd Officer on large yachts both private and charter his last one being on M/Y Dream (60m). When Elliot has any down-time he enjoys water-sports, cars and body building.

CHIEF ENGINEER: Vladimir Separovic – Croatian
Joined Spring 2018
Vlad, a skilled engineer did his apprenticeship and training on merchant and cruise vessels. Joining the yachting industry in 2015 where he quickly adapted his skills on the world’s largest privately owned residential yacht “The World.”
He originally studied at the University of Zadar where he completed his master’s degree and has since studied to get his chief engineer unlimited 111/2. Vlad has a great general knowledge of all IT/AV systems on board, is skilled with satellite communication systems, has a good sense of humour, is a solid team player and loves sailing, hiking and reading.

2ND ENGINEER: Laurent Debien – French
Joined: Spring 2019
Laurent has experience in all aspects of marine engineering and he has a wide variety of skills proven on board both yachts and commercial vessels.
The decision to be a marine engineer was made early in Laurent’s mind when he embarked upon an apprenticeship on commercial ships. In 2011 he studied at the Antwerp Marine Academy for his Bachelor in Maritime Engineering, which gave him a boost, and upon completing this, he set about exploring the world of yachting.
Conscientious, and professional, Laurent is happy to work under pressure and in a team.

BOSUN: Edward (Ed) Gravenstede – British – image attached

Ed hails from the UK and has always had interests in varied fields but it was his love for travel and desire to explore that attracted him to the yachting industry and in 2016 he landed his first job on S/Y Mystery (Swan 34M) during a busy yard period before moving quickly onto M/Y Hooligan (24m) as deckhand /steward.
Ed’s prior experience in high end hospitality installed in him an efficient manner, creative thinking and professionalism – all skills that he mirrors today as he forges his way into his third year in the career of his choice.
In his spare time, Ed is unable to resist his love for the “big outdoors” and he is at his happiest when he is involved in any kind of sporting activity.

DECKHAND - Rory Eadie - British

Rory has 8 years of hospitality experience having been ‘Head of Housekeeping’ for a property rental company. In 2017 he decided to use this experience by entering the yachting industry as a deckhand on the 22m M/Y Pacific Stardust based in Auckland.
Describing himself as dedicated and enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude Rory is looking forward to being part of a successful, productive team. Languages: English, French and advanced Spanish

DECKHAND: Tamsin Prynn – British
Joined Spring 2019
In the past 7 years Tamsin has had some interesting jobs, spanning from a DJ at her own Soho (UK) nightclub to ski guide and bar supervisor.
Each of these positions, it seems, helped her to migrate towards yachting, when in 2016 she landed her first yacht crew position on board M/Y Essence (32m) as cook/stew. Since that moment, she knew that yachting would be her lasting career and she literally hasn’t looked back. The experience she has gained has served to reinforce skill and confidence and her sporty nature has inspired her to work towards the Officer of the Watch certification. Tamsin’s hobbies are 100% sport and her favourites include running, surfing and skiing.
