Crew Profile
Captain - Jacques Falardeau

As Captain of 88' Princess M/Y Hot Pursuit, French-Canadian born Jacques Falardeau has studied the movement of water from an early age, assisting local fishing outfitters in his small hometown in Northern Canada even as a young teen. Following early careers as a river rafting guide, Alaskan fisherman and operator of a private fishing club, again in Northern Canada, in 2000 Jacques decided to don layers for a more tropical existence. Joking that initially he bore halogen legs, once the sun finally hit his skin there was no looking back. Jacques began chartering luxury yachts in the Caribbean and has successfully operated private and charter yachts in the years since along with his wife and partner Sherrie who serves as Chef. Jacques navigated the majority of the U.S. and Canadian coasts including SE Alaska and The Great Lakes through the St. Lawrence River. He has made two tours of the Mediterranean including a complete tour of the Greek Isles. He has also transited the Panama Canal and traveled throughout the Caribbean multiple times. It is his good pleasure to open opportunities for guests to connect with the sea and all that it contains. His delight is in their delight.

Chef - Sherrie Falardeau

A suburban girl from Central New York, Sherrie began her nautical career in Alaska as a cook on a 150' King Crab vessel off-season. She met her husband Jacques while whitewater rafting in upstate New York and never looked upstream again. Though they consider themselves closet landlubbers for their love of wildlife, they have spent most of their careers on the water amazed at the life that teems below the surface. Sharing life with a true French-Canadian voyageur she claims that Jacques has provided thrill for a dozen lifetimes. Her passion for hospitality and enabling guest engagement with all things on the water. She has also found one of life’s great professional pleasures is when yacht guests and crew mutually feel the other has opened up a world unknown. She states, ‘This is M/Y Hot Pursuit’.

Gastronomy:
It would be Sherrie’s custom to source fresh, local, in-season ingredients where possible. Having developed generational cooking skills, she is open to prepare most cuisines yielding appreciation for the flavor of food using local seasonings. The goal is to allow guests to leave the table delightfully satisfied and comfortable to move on to their next activity.

Stew - Virginia- Stew Profile

Virginia was born in California and moved to south Florida at a young age. Passionate for water, moving to the East Coast was a perfect fit. After studying and working in hospitality, she decided to pursue a more adventurous career and joined her first yacht position. Two and a half years later, if she's not in a boat she enjoys spending her free time traveling to exotic places, getting crafty, or scuba diving. She is also bilingual, speaks English and Spanish. Virginia’s previous experience has helped sharpen her eye for detail and fine dining. Making sure all guests feel welcomed she creates a comfortable and delightful experience.

Mate – Joey Folz
Joey Folz’s passion for yachting and fishing started off at an early age. Since high school his passion for the ocean was clear as he worked weekends and summers as a deckhand locally in Ft Lauderdale on commercial sport fishing vessels. With an intimate knowledge of the Florida coast and The Bahamas, Joey’s professional approach to customer service, adventure and sport fishing, is always extended with a warm smile and helping hand to meet all guest’s needs. Furthering his maritime career and education, Joe Folz has earned his USCG 100-ton Captain’s License, Certified PADI diver, and knowledgeable of The Bahamas and all that it has to offer. His understanding of navigation, seamanship, customer service and certifications, make him uniquely qualified as First Mate.
